“Mainly inspired by recent events in my family life, “Fatherhood” looks at the potentially devastating effects that absent/inactive fathers can have on the lives of their children and the family unit as a whole. I wanted to channel the spirit of songs that share a similar sentiment such as “Dear Mama” by 2 Pac, “Retrospect For Life” by Common and “Be A Father To Your Child” by Edo G. All of these songs contain powerful messages and it is my hope that “Fatherhood” further reinforces the fact that as men, we need to teach our sons how to be good men and teach our daughters how to pick a good man. The video was directed by Nitevisions and features acting performances from Cherelle Morris, Enakhe Ogumah and their beautiful daughter, Sanai.”
