Our friends at Gasface in France are currently working on a short film about famed composer/producer Galt MacDermot entitled Lookin4Galt. While “beat-heads” or “crate diggas” as we used to call ‘em may well be familiar with his work and its relation to hip-hop, Gas Face along with DJ Greengiant explicitly re-connect the dots with Down With the King – an excellent mix of sample source tracks, classic hip-hop tracks, and interludes from the film.
